The Scarlet Thread reaches out in the Jacksonville, FL community to help uplift ALL women who are at-risk of being exploited.

We have partnered with World Relief and the DuPont YMCA New American Welcome Center to teach refugee women the art of sewing. It is our desire to teach these new members of the Jacksonville, FL community a skill that will not only be useful for their families but will help them earn an income. Most of the women we work with have come from horrific persecution in their home countries and have come to America in hopes of a better future for themselves and their families.

Skills training for “the least of these” is an important goal for The Scarlet Thread team. We lift up all of our community when we lift up women within the community.
