These natural hearts are a fair trade product handmade in the Kisii region of Kenya. They are hand carved from soapstone mined from the Kisii mountains with a machete, sanded until smooth, and then polished. Since these show the natural colors of the stone, some color variations should be expected. You can often see shades of cream, gray, pink, and brown. The natural variations in color of this soapstone is truly gorgeous.
